From the Club opening potluck dinner in May to the year ending Awards banquet in September, the social life of the Pelican Yacht Club revolves around its kitchen and the outdoor viewing deck. Members take turns hosting post-race socials ... a cancelled or postponed race simply extends the time available ashore. Once or twice a season, non-racers organize a fleet wide raft-up. In the off season, the Mid Winter Planning Meeting provides an opportunity to dust off the recipe book. Good thing too ... bragging rights are at stake!
