Racing has been a part of life at the Pelican Yacht Club since it's founding in 1965. The Club was host to the Canadian Fireball Championships in the 1960s, the Canada Summer Games in 1997, the Western Intermediate Championships in 2000 and 2004, and Mobility Cup in 2004.
