International Fireball
The Fireball is a high-performance dinghy, designed by Peter Milne in 1961. The shallow, scow-shaped hull contributes to the speed and excitement of sailing this boat. It was originally built of wood; fiberglass models were allowed by 1966. The International Yacht Racing Union granted the Fireball International status in 1970, and major fleets began to emerge in the UK, South Africa, France, Sweden, Canada and the USA.
